The Hare’s Corner – Plan for Nature
The Hare’s Corner is an innovative biodiversity initiative by the Burrenbeo Trust to help landowners make more space for nature through creation of habitats such as Mini-Woodlands, Heritage Orchards, Wildlife Ponds, Wildlife Hedges and through provision of bespoke 'Plans for Nature'.
Biodiversity study of the proposed Umeras Peatlands Park at Umeras Bog
FERS Ltd. were commissioned by Umeras Community Development CLG in 2021 to provide a baseline assessment of the biodiversity resource present at the proposed Umeras Peatlands Park at Umeras Bog. Umeras Bog is 300 hectares (741 acres) in area and had been in commercial peat production by Bord na Móna since the mid-1970s.

Hen Harrier Habitat mapping
National project undertaken in 2014 to map habitats according to suitability for Hen Harrier (Circus cyaneus) within all SPAs designated for the species. The methodology for this project has been drafted in conjunction with the National Parks & Wildlife Service as an Irish Wildlife Manual.
